The Kansas City Beerfest returns to the Legends this weekend. Featuring hundreds of craft-style beers, food vendors, live music and more, this festival draws beer fans from near and far to one of the best gatherings of craft beers in the region. An added bonus when you attend this year's festival is that you aren't just having a great time, you're helping others. All proceeds from the KC Beerfest go to the Kansas City Free Health Clinic and the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
The event is October 22, 2011 from 2-5 PM at the Legends Outlets out by the Speedway. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. However last year the festival sold out within 30 minutes of the doors opening, so it's strongly recommended you buy your tickets ahead of time or be there when the gates open.
Here is a sampling of just some of the brewers being featured at this year's festival: Boulevard, Breckenridge Brewery, Free State Brewery, Goose Island, Guiness, High Noon Brewery, La Fin Du Monde (one of this writers favorite brewers anywhere in the world), New Belgium Brewery, North Coast Brewery, Sierra Nevada, Summit Brewery, Schlafly, Sam Adams, Tallgrass Brewery, Widmer, and dozens more with each brewery bringing multiple selections from their cellars for tasters to enjoy.
So come on out tomorrow and enjoy what promises to be the best KC Beerfest to date!
